Clifton Sub-Aqua Club
Meet Us
We are a Bristol dive club that meets weekly at Highbury vaults to welcome new members, plan our dives and arrange future social occasions. If your interested in SCUBA diving feel free to come along and say hello from around 8pm each Wednesday, although please do contact us first just in case there are any change of plans. If you want to let us know you are coming along then please email us.
Training
We have SCUBA diving instructors who train divers all year round. No matter if you're a complete beginner, maybe tried diving on holiday, or experienced (and qualified with BSAC, PADI or other agencies), Clifton is a great Bristol dive club. Join to enjoy some fantastic diving!
Dive Plan
Although we are a Bristol diving club we pursue a range of diving activities in the UK and around the world, including scenic and wreck diving, marine conservation, underwater photography and technical diving. To see the diving we are doing this year check out our calendar.

Who
we are
We are a Bristol dive club based near Clifton (as in the suspension bridge). We are a friendly group of divers who enjoy socialising as much as diving.
Learn more about CSACLast year was a fantastic year for CSAC. We stationed our brand new in 2016 RIB at QAB marina in Plymouth for the summer months. For a period from April to September had a diving trip organised every other weekend! This included diving from our new boat as well as using local hard boats too. Trips included Portland, Falmouth, Skomer marine reserve in Wales, the Eddystone light house as well as many of the sites local to Plymouth like the famous James Egan Lane and HMS Scylla. We also ran several week long diving holidays abroad to El-Hierro in the Cannary islands, Egypt, Norway and beyond. Scotland was frequented several times by club trips too! The historic wrecks of Scapa flow and the beautiful marine life encrusted and well preserved wrecks of the Scottish West coast. This included some minke whale watching too!
There was a wide range of social activities. CSAC is locally renowned as not only a fantastic and active dive club but also a great social club. Some have said it’s as much of a (responsible!) drinking club as well as a dive club. The events included numerous meals, Friday nights out (we call them Friday Night Shouts), barbecues, summer camping trips, distiller tours and more. Many of which will be repeated next year!
The training schedule was jam packed over the year too. We had many successful skill development courses including twin-set diver, automated external defibrillator (AED), photography workshop, closed circuit rebreather and other diving/technical courses.
The dive plan is already looking jam packed for the coming months. Head over to the Calendar and take a look. Its sure to be as much of an action packed year.
